Where Is The Love?

The main message of this song is about the insufficient love in the world. All over the world many countries are suffering from terrorism, racism, war, greed and more. This reflects how this world has lost love resulting in many people suffering from these issues. This song has a few verses where it talks about terrorism such as the "KKK" who are the Kool Klutz Klan in America who are terrorising Negros living in America. This shows racism and terrorism. Also, this song was launched a few months later when America attacked Iraq. Thus, this song is also singing about war.

The part which I have the strongest feeling for is:"

Yeah madness is what you demonstrate
And that's exactly how anger works and operates
You gotta have love just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate
Let your soul gravitate to the love y'all

People killing people dying
Children hurtin you hear them crying
Can you practice what you preach
Would you turn the other cheek?
Father Father Father help us
Send some guidance from above
Cause people got me got me questioning
Where is the love?
"

This is because this part mainly relates to issues that the world face today. In the part talking about anger, I feel that it really applies to everybody. For example, even for minor issues, we should still control our anger and our actions to prevent harming others. Furthermore, we should "gravitate to the love" so as to put others before yourself.

In the chorus, I feel that it brings out the truth of this world. People from all nations are killing and dying and children are also being abused. For example, terrorism brings harm to innocent people. Another example is child labor. Children are being abused in several parts of the world. I feel strongly for the last few lines of the chorus as people because of my religion. I feel that people should turn to a power higher than them and seek help and peace. In conclusion, I feel that the actions of people in this world has really affected others and that they should really think about the consequences of their acts.

  1. Well said! Well said! Some nice thoughts you have! In my opinion, this world revolves around anger. Anger is a feeling that causes much detriment to this world, and is the main problem as to why the love in the world is all lost! I agree with Darren that we should not harm others and lose control when we get angry. Once you get angry and do brash things on impulse, there will definitely be repercussions! I feel that in order to have a peaceful and war-less society, we must learn to care and share. If we give in to others, you might think that you do not gain anything. However, you are wrong! If one gives in, the other party will give in to you in the future, which reaps about benefits. However, in this world, few people are willing to give concessions. Thus, they quarrel over these trivial issues and this might result bad consequences such as war, fighting, murdering, bullying. Next, to achieve a peaceful world, we must learn to love one another. We should not criticize or provoke others just because you don't like a certain point of theirs. Instead, you should point it out to them. In this way, there will be no bullying and name-calling involved. Instead, the other party will thank you for correcting him and our world will be peaceful! All in all, to achieve a kind and peaceful society, we must love and control our anger.
